Buddha Bar

80s Dance Nights Friday and Saturday nights in Seattle? Yes, you heard me right.

A small bar with a cool atmosphere (including bamboo decor), the dance floor was a mixed age of friendly folks. Absent was the icky pioneer square feel. I may have to go back tonight or tomorrow!

Drink Specials during late night hours, no cover, no pretense, good service, good drinks, nice ambiance. Potentially one of my new favorite nightlife places in town!

Buddha Bar on Urbanspoon

The Stranger says:
With its abundance of pricey boutiques and high-rise condos, Belltown tends toward a ritzy club scene of angular leather couches and swanky light fixtures. While the Thai-inspired Buddha Bar teems with the requisite gussied-up crowds, its decor is decidedly homier, from the front lounge's mismatched furniture to the back bar's family-size dinner tables. Happy hour brings further enticement via $3 food specials (including spring rolls, fresh rolls, zucchini-onion tempura, and deep-fried crab delights) and discounted drinks: microbrew drafts, shots of Jäger, and single well drinks for $3; classic cosmos and well martinis for $4.50; and $1 off all glasses of wine. (Buddha Bar, 2222 Second Ave, 441-4449. Happy hour daily 5—7 pm, 10 pm—midnight.)

They were tasty cosmos, Georgia and I will attest to that.

Hey...I googled for "Buddha Belltown Saturday" and ran across this blog.

Thank you for your kind works regarding my 80's dance night @ Buddha.

I had recently resigned from Buddha and have taken "Mad World" to a better location on Capitol Hill!

If you liked Buddha....you will love this night much better. It's just all around a better venue with a great sound system!

Come check it out Saturday, July 25th!!
